Hi, I’m Ash Cano, LCSW. I’m a somatic and trauma-informed therapist who believes healing starts in the body, not just the mind. My work is grounded, direct, and deeply human. I don’t sugar-coat, I don’t rely on generic talk therapy, and I don’t expect you to figure everything out on your own.
I became a therapist after years of working in hospice, medical social work, and crisis settings, where I saw how much people carry grief, overwhelm, unresolved trauma, big transitions, and the pressure to keep going even when your body is exhausted. Those experiences shaped my belief that healing has to honor the nervous system and the lived reality of the body.
I specialize in grief and loss, life transitions, trauma responses, attachment wounds, and the clients who tend to “feel everything deeply.” I work with people who want honesty, clarity, and practical tools; people who are tired of just talking about the problem and are ready to work with what their body is actually doing.
In our sessions, we slow down, track your nervous system, build internal safety, and help you develop the capacity to move through life with more steadiness. My goal is to help you understand yourself, not in abstract terms, but in a grounded, embodied way that creates real, lasting change.
If you're looking for a therapy space that’s warm, straightforward, and rooted in the body, you're in the right place. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Ash Cano
